Amen.

Hey, if you've got your Bibles, I hope you do, we're going to be in Numbers Chapter 13 and 14.

Numbers is way towards the beginning of the Bible.

So you can just start in the beginning, start leaving through.

Numbers 13 and 14, like Pastor Britt said, we are in the third week of this series called Greater Than.

The idea being that God is greater than our emotions.

The one we're going to talk about tonight is fear, so it just applies to everybody.

So we've got a lot to do, and let's just dig in.

Chapter 13, verse 1.

It says, the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel. This is very important.

It might want to underline this. So he's not saying send people to spy out the land of Canaan

to see if you might be able to move into the land of Canaan. So in God's mind, this is a done deal.

It was done all the way back to Abraham. This is the promised land because God promised to give it.

And so these men are not going in to kind of seek the will of God, but to reap the will of God.

God has already established through his covenant with Abraham a long time ago back in Genesis

that we covered sometime last year, that God is going to give this land.

So send men to spy out the land of Cain, which I am giving to the people of Israel.

From each tribe of their fathers, you shall send a man, every one a chief among them.

And then the next chunk of scripture goes through the list of who the spies are.

Now here's the thing.

There's 12 spies, and you've only heard of two of them.
