Summary

There is one certainty for all humanity. We each will have to atone for the guilt of our sins. Each of us has two options; either we self-atone or we surrender to Christ’s atoning work on the cross.

0:00.0	Amen. Amen. Hey, if you are, if you're new to the Church of 1122, what you just watched was a few
0:11.2	testimonies from our beach baptism. We got to celebrate this past June. We had to walk out in the
0:16.0	water with over 250 people who publicly declared that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. And that's really what we're all
0:23.6	about here at the Church 1122. We're about life change. And we really believe that life change is a
0:28.2	response to the gospel. It's a response to who Jesus is and a response to what God's word says to us.
0:34.9	And so we're going to dig in. We're starting a brand new series today
0:38.3	called Greater Than. And what we're going to do, we're going to kind of catch up with the nation of
0:43.2	Israel, kind of like part two of the Exodus. So we actually taught, we've taught a series on Exodus,
0:49.7	and I would encourage you if you are new to the church to go back and listen to that it's not required like
0:55.1	you can come back you don't have to listen to anything ever again but it might help you to just
0:59.2	kind of capture a picture of what's going on here but we're going to study the book of
1:03.7	leviticus and the book of numbers which is kind of like part two of the exodus and so what
1:09.0	we know is that the nation of Israel has left slavery.
1:13.5	They've left captivity. Moses, let my people go, is leading them to the promised land of Canaan.
1:19.6	And when we catch up with them in Leviticus and Numbers, it's just this kind of part two.
1:23.5	And so what we're going to do is we're going to study Leviticus. We're going to study the
1:26.6	book of numbers. And what we've noticed as we've been preparing and getting ready for these two books
1:32.0	is that there's just this overarching theme of the majesty and sovereignty of God being bigger than or greater than any of our emotions, any of our circumstances.
1:44.8	And so for over the next six weeks, we're going to study this kind of theme of scripture
1:48.9	that God is greater than our feelings.
1:51.7	And in fact, if you've been around, you've heard Pastor Joby say at least once, if not every
1:55.5	five minutes, I don't care about your feelings.
