Before we moved last year, my husband and I had been living in a floorplex for about six years.

It was the longest I'd ever lived anywhere in my adult life.

And I was so excited to get out of that place and start our new chapter.

Which is why I was so caught off guard when I started having dreams about our old apartment.

In a weird way, I felt like we were just on vacation and we'd eventually go back to our real home.

I found myself missing it.

It didn't make any sense.

So I came up with some theories.

Maybe I felt this way simply because it was the longest I'd ever lived somewhere.

But it was also the place where I said goodbye to my dog, Sisu.

It was where I had several anxiety attacks and a heavy bout of depression.

It was also where I had multiple disturbing paranormal experiences,

most of which I have shared on this podcast.

I still had this deep energetic connection to that apartment.

And it made me think about how often this must happen with other rentals.

Various people coming and going, leaving their energy behind and affecting the next set of people who move in.
