Today we are looking at Acts chapter 28 and we are continuing Paul's journey to Rome.

He's been under arrest, he's been on his way to Rome for a long time and has experienced

all kinds of things, shipwreck, a snake bite, all kinds of issues that the Apostle Paul

is faced in today, he arrives in Rome so let's get started reading in chapter 28 of

the Book of Acts.

We're going to begin in verse 11.

It says after three months, we set sail in a ship that had wintered in the island, a

ship of Alexandria with twin gods as the figurehead.

Putting in at Syracuse, we stayed there for three days and from there we made a circuit

and arrived at Regium and after one day a south wind spring up and on the second day

we came to Puthioli and there we found brothers and we're invited to stay with them for

seven days and so we came to Rome and the brothers there when they heard about us came

as far as the form of Appius and three taverns to meet us, on seeing them Paul thanked

God and took courage and when he came into Rome Paul was allowed to stay by himself with

the soldier who guarded him.

While this feels like a very melodramatic end to this long journey the Apostle Paul has

been on, he's faced all kinds of dangers, he's faced all kinds of circumstances and

met all kinds of people as he's in Roman custody on his way to trial before Caesar.
