let's dive in to the book of Proverbs once again. Today we'll be looking at verses 4 and verses

20 and 21. These three verses bring to light the power that wise words can have when spoken

into a situation. Let's look at these verses. Verse 4 says, the words of a man's mouth are

deep waters. The fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. So do you get the imagery there? There's

like this underground spring that's just bubbling up its wisdom and that's deep inside of a man

of wisdom or woman of wisdom. It comes out in their words just like that spring comes up out of

seemingly nowhere from the ground. Verse 20, from the fruit of a man's mouth, his stomach is

satisfied. He is satisfied with the yield of his lips. So in other words, a person who holds

wisdom and speaks from that wisdom is a person who is satisfied generally speaking in life because

they know they are injecting good into the circumstances that they're interacting with. Then

finally, in verse 21, it gives us just a broad principle about this issue of what we speak. And

it says, death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruits.

So that's some very interesting imagery. It says, if what comes of our words produces a fruit

that we then are able to eat and be satisfied, it gives us delight to see that our words of wisdom

bring a benefit to someone's life. Now, friends in all of this, I want to just say the obvious,

when we are able to speak words of wisdom into a situation, it not only satisfies us to see

that we've had a part in making the situation come about in a good way, but it also gives life
