Hello and welcome to psychic teachers. I'm your host Deb Bowling with a new installment of my

Wisdom from Deb episodes. So if it's safe and comfortable for you to do so, sit back, drop your

shoulders, take a deep breath and close your eyes. And if you can't close your eyes,

at least drop your shoulders and take a deep breath.

So ponder some questions with me.

What does it mean, really, to seek wisdom?

What's the difference between wisdom and knowledge?

How, in today's world do we even begin to discern the difference and then trust what we're learning? How do we know when we are becoming wise, not just smart?

And are there different kinds of wisdom? One of the brilliant thinkers of the

world died at the end of June. American journalist and commentator Bill Moyers wore many hats

over the years, including working to create the Peace Corps and the Corporation for Public

Broadcasting. However, I imagine most of us know him from his amazing documentary series with

author and professor Joseph Campbell. Campbell's work is legendary, but this documentary series entitled The Power of Myth was created

in such a way that ancient wisdom is shared so that we, meaning me, can deeply understand

its lessons. The Campbell and Moyers' documentary series, along with my eternal search for wisdom through the symbolism found in Turot,

continues to fuel my fascination with archetypes and mythology and how deeply we are impacted by history,

culture, and world beliefs. I learn something new every time I read Campbell's work, or watch that documentary series,

or pull a to Rokey.

And then I wonder, well, just how wise am I, really?

Y'all, I'm old.

And some days I think I know lots of stuff, and other days,

I don't know anything. As Neil deGrasse Tyson says, we don't know what we don't know.
