Summary

Erwin McManus takes us on a journey through his Quest for Enlightenment in his powerful Uprising series.

Targeted on the value of wisdom, Pastor Erwin shares that for most of us, the wisest person in our life is not the wealthiest or the smartest. What they bring is an ability to navigate life in a way that leads to wholeness - both emotionally and relationally.

In Ecclesiastes chapter 9, a man named Solomon points out a man who was poor but saved a city with his wisdom. Pastor Erwin reminds us that we often ask for resources when God wants to give us vision.

What vision has God entrusted you with that you need his wisdom to navigate? Even when your resources cause you to second guess what you can achieve, this message will encourage you to trust that God’s supply of wisdom is more than enough!

This message is drawn from Uprising, Erwin Raphael McManus’ book about taking on the character of God.

Hey guys, I want to walk you me to the Mosaic podcast. I'm Pastor Erwin, I'm

0:12.7

Phil McManus, and just wanted to thank you for listening. In case you didn't

0:16.1

know, I just released a new book, it's called The Genius of Jesus, the man who

0:20.1

changed everything. And you can order it today at TheGeniusOfJesus.com. We've

0:24.8

stepped into this uprising, this revolution of the soul. The revolution that

0:29.7

sets us free, no matter what happens in the world around us, to find the

0:34.3

liberty and freedom that we were created to live in. And we've been on three

0:39.7

specific quests. We began a quest for honor, and then journeyed together on a

0:44.0

quest for an ability. And for the last few weeks, we have been on this last

0:48.3

quest, this quest for enlightenment. We've traveled together on this

0:53.4

particular quest, on a search to end stupidity. One of the things we've seen

0:59.5

together, that so many things in life are unpredictable, so many things in life

1:04.7

are uncertain. And some of you, the future has come at you like a Mac truck, and

1:10.3

some of you feel as if you are roadkill, from all the expected crises and

1:16.3

conflicts and problems and challenges that have come your way. And that can

1:21.7

create an illusion, it can make you feel as if everything in life is

1:25.0

unpredictable, that everything in life is uncertain. And what we discover is that

1:30.1

the person who moves from darkness to light, the person who moves from living a

1:34.9

life of foolishness to a life of wisdom, begins to have a unique clarity about

1:41.2

life, or life begins to make sense. And so we wrap things up tonight on this

1:48.9

quest for enlightenment. And we saw together this quest begins with this very

1:54.6

simple virtue of faithfulness, that this journey begins by being faithful in the
