Let's say you have never... This is hell.

Let's say you have never, ever been convicted of a crime.

Let's go even further and say you've never even been charged

with any crime, even a misdemeanor. You have a thoroughly clean, spotless record and

for whatever reason have never even had an interaction with a cop in your entire life. That's how squeaky clean you are.

Let's add on that you have never been politically active, having never gone to a political protest in your life.

Then May 25, 2020 comes along and George Floyd is murdered by Minneapolis police.

Once you see the video of Floyd pleading, begging for his life, saying I can't breathe

over 20 times, and his eventual death.

You snap.

Suddenly your view of police and policing changes and you go to social media to vent your anger.

You even find and join social media groups that share your displeasure with abusive

law enforcement especially what seems to be systemic abuse of people of

color. Within these groups there are calls for protests against police and you post that you plan to attend.

Throughout the summer of 2020 you post your criticisms of police, you share comments and groups that organize protests,

but you never actually seem to make it to any of the protests.

Well, if you live in southeastern Wisconsin, your thoroughly clean rap sheet has not kept you from having

an FBI file for your online activities critical of police and supportive of protesters.
