Let's start with this last week.

I was a bit bummed out.

It didn't look like it was going to get out and do any hiking or anything at all, but then Saturday morning, my plans changed.

And I had an opportunity to go out and do something I really don't do that all that often I went out for a solo hike and I

decided I would go out and do a section of the Finger Lakes trail that I haven't

hiked yet. I'm continuing to chip away at it and I'm happy to say I am now less than 50 miles away from completing the Finger Lakes Trail.

Kind of feels like a black cloud hanging over my head.

I've been hiking the Finger Lakes Trail since 2007 and I'm just

struggling as I've said over and over again, struggling to motivate myself to finish it. But

now that something about getting under 50 miles has me a bit more motivated, so I might

actually finish it in the spring. I don't know. It's a possibility. Anyway, this
