Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the

magnificent Monday edition of the yard. Hope you're well wherever you are today. We've got a lot to talk about. We've got a lot to feel good about. We really do. And we're going to talk about that today.

Because here's the deal. Life is too short to live without happiness it's true

life is short death is certain it's great when the things that you place your emotional energy in

reap some type of benefit for you you know let's be honest about that the fall semester wasn't a

great semester for mississippi state sports fall semester wasn't a great semester for

Mississippi State Sports. I really wasn't football. Obviously losing record. Into the bowl streak.

It sucked. It did. You hated it for the kids, but you hate it for our fans. Because we're

always here. No matter who graduates, we're still here. We're riding the tide. Up and down,

ebb and flow positive negative it's true

it's what we do miss basketball didn't win an NCAA tournament game it's disappointing

women didn't make tournament but now here we are spring semester as uh as finals week Stargville, and to all of you students out there working through finals,

best of luck, study, get some rest.

All those all night cramming sessions are really a result of your lagging, right?

But you do what you got to do.

Once you enjoy your college experience but also make good grades, I can tell you,

as the father of three college graduates and one freshman at Mississippi State now, it never,

ever, ever, like it leaves your mind, right? You always hope your kids are doing well. You always hope they're doing what they're supposed to be doing because it's different. You know, in high school, like you'd get a call from a teacher. You know, nowadays, if something's not right, you get a letter from, you know, the registrar, you know. And so it's a different deal and because they're not

minors anymore they're not so willing to talk to you you know it is what it is but nevertheless

best of luck on your finals because once we get through this week it's all sports for the rest of the

spring and early in the summer.

So students take care of business.
