Do you ever struggle to get things done? You know what I'm talking about? Struggling

to stay on task with something, struggling to find freedom from that sin that has been

nagging at you and pulling at you for a long time. Hi, I'm Heidi St. John, and today I

want to talk just a minute with you about the battle for your mind. I was reading today

in Roman 7, and I noticed in verse 20, it's a little bit of a discouraging passage, but

the reason it's discouraging is because it is showing that the battle that we're fighting

for control in our hearts and our minds is a very real battle, and it's a spiritual battle.

Look with me for just a minute in Roman 7 starting at verse 20. It says, now if I do what

I do not want to do is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

So I find this lot work when I want to do good. Evil is right there with me. Now this

is kind of a departure for when I'm normally talking about because normally I'm talking

about how God is right there with you and he's fighting for you and that is true, but

we're drawing attention today to the fact that the battle that we fight, the battle that
