So how would you get it started by telling us a little bit about yourself and what you do?

Okay, so I am a general counsel for a public university in Kentucky.

It is Kentucky State University, and I have been here for three years.

And before that, what was your legal career like?

So prior to coming to Kentucky State University, I've had a very diverse career. I started out first as a paralegal. I was in the military, and then when I got out, I became a civilian paralegal, went to law school at night, became an associate at the same law firm for several years. And then after that, I transitioned into state government and I worked for educational agencies within state government before coming to Kentucky State University.

Fantastic. Oh, that's great. This is great. And so for today's episode, we're talking about

how to negotiate in tough times. And I don't know if, you know, our listeners

know, but we've had some tough times recently. Say the least. And they've given us a lot of

opportunities to practice these harder negotiation skills. And the reality is sometimes we have

change and we have to renegotiate. So those are really tough conversations and I'm pumped to

first avoiding positional bargaining. Second, transparency. And then lastly, reasonable adjustments.
