As we read the gospel records, we read eyewitness accounts of the life and ministry of the Lord Jesus.

In a sense, the gospels are just the beginning of Christ's work. The adventure continues in the

Book of Acts. In this study with

Scott Pauli, we consider the continuing work of Christ through the Holy Spirit, who works

through the apostles in the New Testament Church. Now, let's get in on the adventure.

Can you imagine what it would have been like to have been in that room, in that house

on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit of God invaded this world and indwelt every

believer? Oh, what a glorious moment that must have been. Think of the sights and the

sounds of Pentecost because the Holy Spirit describes them for us in Acts chapter number two. Listen to it.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven,

as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting,

and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them,

and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost. Now, we're going to come back and study more about the day of Pente of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.

Now, we're going to come back and study more about the day of Pentecost itself and the signs

that came on that day, the evidence that the Holy Spirit had come.

What a mark it was.

But let's begin here, just with the opening phrases of Acts chapter number two.

Consider the sights and sounds of the day of

Pentecost, specifically the wind and the fire. The sound is connected to the wind. The Bible says
