Summary

Novak Djokovic is in big trouble - down two sets to love against the big-hitting American Sam Querrey - and in the opinion of BBC 5 Live commentator Philip Studd, who was sitting just a few feet from the World No.1 as he struggled, the end is nigh for the Serbian at Wimbledon when they resume.

A dramatic fifth day, in which rain again intervened, is reviewed by presenters David Law and Catherine Whitaker, as well as Charlie Eccleshare from the Telegraph, who was writing about the heroic return of Juan Martin Del Potro. The Argentine courageously overcame Stan Wawrinka in what had been, until Djokovic started to struggle, a major shock.

Nine-time Wimbledon doubles champion Todd Woodbridge also joins the show to describe the five-set victory of Nick Kyrgios over Dustin Brown as 'the strongest mental performance of his career'. But how does Woodbridge thing Kyrgios would do if he met Andy Murray in the fourth round?

Hello, welcome to the tennis podcast. Brought to you an association with the telegraph

0:23.6

and we have Catherine Whittaker and Charlie Eccleshire here and just because we've just

0:27.3

door stepped in Todd Woodbridge, famous Australian doubles player of many many years,

0:32.0

Wimbledon doubles champion. How many times 186 are I reckon? How many times? At least six. At least.

0:38.1

I say six. Nine. Nine. Yeah. I told you at least six. The night. It was nine. Todd Woodbridge

0:43.7

just very quickly. It's been a frustrating old day here at the tennis hasn't it. But Nick Kirios

0:48.9

today, that was a big win for him, wasn't it? Because I was commentating on his match for five

0:54.7

two sets to one down, mind going all over the place and he dialed himself back in. Yeah, he did

0:59.9

really well. I think that's one of the best mental performances I've seen from him. Coming up

1:03.5

against Dustin Brown is hard at any time and there were momentum swings in that match all over

1:09.7

the place. I mean, the quickest sets I've ever seen. I mean, it's five set match, what done in

1:13.3

under two hours. But what I thought out of Nick was that he had a little bit of a moment where he

1:19.6

lost it emotionally, but he pulled himself back. And when he came out in that last portion of the

1:25.6

match after the rain delay where he had break point, it was controlled, it was focused and it was

1:31.5

determined. He did everything you had to do in that situation. That was the most mature looking

1:36.5

Kirios that we've seen. It's not about great play. It was about getting the result done.

1:40.9

And I was really impressed with that. It's quite interesting seeing him being the

1:44.6

straight laced one record. Yeah, indeed. I mean, some of the shots that Dustin Brown hit were

1:49.5

just ridiculous. I mean, why you would be playing backspinning drop shots at the moments that he did

1:55.1

begs the question. But that's what makes him interesting to watch. But it also, I think in the end,
