Hi, my name is Jeffrey Kane.

I was a long time foreign correspondent in China where I wrote a book called The Perfect Police

State about the Uyghur genocide and the technological surveillance

dystopia that China has created. I'm now a senior fellow at the Foundation for American Innovation

where I work on technology and geopolitics and I recently wrote an article

for persuasion called the Left Tic Talk and the world's biggest police state.

One of the things that I've found since I returned to America is that the far left is not as

interested in human rights in China as they claim to be.
