A lot to talk about today, an awful lot of the program.

This idea that a middle class, I think most people think that a middle class is like a normal thing

that, you know, hey, you have a capitalist economy, you have a functioning democratic government,

and therefore, you know, a small de-democratic, and therefore you will have a middle class.

It's not a normal thing, middle classes have to be intentionally caused.

My daily rant today, and it's one of the better ones over at HartmanReport.com,

there's nothing normal about having a middle class, it has to be chosen is the headline.

And it's true, the American middle class has collapsed.

We're headed in the direction of looking like the 19th century England that Charles Dickens wrote

about in his novels. Five years ago, the American middle class ceased to be more than half of us.

We went from two-thirds of Americans being in the middle class when Ronald Reagan was elected in

1980 to 49% in 2015. I'm sorry, I don't have current numbers for this, that was the last time
