Before we get to Trump's present predicament, Colonel, I'd like to just get your general feeling of how all of this happened in the first place.

I mean, they're saying that Trump attacked Iran because Netanyai wanted it, the neocons wanted it,

the military-industrial complex wanted it, but there's been no clear mission statement.

What do you think caused, what forces came together to cause this action of Israel and America attacking Iran?

I think all of the above and probably much more that you decided.

But my intrigue, if you will, as a military professional,

and particularly as a man trained in strategic thinking

at two of the best institutions in America,

and having taught that myself for 16 years on civilian campuses,

I look at what might be behind the curtains.

And what's behind the curtains is clear to me.

It's becoming so clear that it makes me tremble sometimes when I think about it.

We're engaged in a global conflict to try and prevent the inexorable shift of power

from essentially America, but the Western Hemisphere in general, perhaps minus Brazil, to the east.

The magnet of that shift, the pulling power, if you will, being China.

And the acolytes that are lining up for that are not just bricks or the Shanghai

Corporation organization, it's 60% of the world. In population, in GDP, you name the measure of

influence, it's all going east. Just like at once all came from the east and went west.

You know, we're talking about 3,000 years of history here, but it's going back, and it's going back rapidly.

And we're fighting it from the Arctic Circle to Bandaer Abbas.
