In this podcast, we’re going to do a deep dive on things that will or will not break your fast. The topic of things that break a fast seems to come up a lot. I want to take some time to break down this topic and help you really understand it.

| 0:29.4 | So the topic of breaking your fast seems to come up over and over and over as far as |

| 0:36.2 | So I'm going to take each little part of this and attempt to try to help you understand |

| 0:45.7 | A true fast, when we're talking about a water fast, involves not eating and only drinking |

| 0:54.2 | So if you were to consume vitamins or cough or anything, you are breaking the fast. |
| 1:01.7 | Dry fast, you're not consuming any water, you're not eating anything, that's what a dry |
| 1:07.9 | fast is. |
| 1:08.9 | Now what I want to get into is the degrees of breaking the fast because there's a lot |
| 1:14.5 | of things that will, at a very minor way, possibly break your fast but only in a temporary |
| 1:20.3 | way, maybe for only 20 minutes to a half hour. |
| 1:24.6 | So I am going to recommend consuming certain things during your fast because it's a real |
| 1:29.0 | minor point. |
| 1:30.0 | It's nothing to put attention on, but I want you to understand the relative degrees of |
| 1:36.0 | things that will break your fast versus those things that are very, very tiny that will |
| 1:40.0 | only break your fast a little bit in for a short period of time. |
| 1:44.4 | But we also have to differentiate between bumping you out of a key toast. |
| 1:47.9 | What seems to be a confusion as well. |
