I'm Judy Mueller, sitting in for Warren Alley, and this is To the Point from Public Radio International,

Americans care about most. Two years ago in the midterm elections, members of the Tea Party

swept into Congress with the fervor of true believers. But this year, voters sent some of them

packing. Those who remain have been demoted from key committee assignments. The movement is still

a force within the GOP,

but the 2012 election has weakened their position.

Today, on To the Point, we'll look at what's next for the Tea Party.

Can it remain an influential force in American politics?
