All right, ladies and gentlemen, here we are.

We've got the state of the union coming up, And I am fully prepared. I've got my,

I've got my snacks from Buckees, right, the embassy of Texas. I've got, I've got some other stuff

from Tennessee, just in case we play any drinking games later. I don't think we should make

beautiful, one of the keywords that we use. Like if we got to take a drink every time someone says beautiful that could be uh that could be pretty dangerous i'm just saying we're not we're not trying to get anybody i'm trying to get anybody hurt here uh we've also we're also gonna have the oracle of virginia on with us today christian hines if you're not already following christian on x uh now would be a really good time as you're watching this to go over and make sure that

you're following Christian as well.

He's a pretty smart guy, pretty smart guy, and this is right up his alley.

So we're going to be going over some of the reasons why this is a very important state

of the union address, because let's face it, a lot of these are just not like a lot of these you'd be

just fine skipping it all together no no real big deal you can just read the highlights um the following

day and be just fine this one is more important and the reason why i think it is is because it's going to

set the tone going into the midterms. For the first year that Trump has been in

office, I think overall it seemed like things were going pretty well from a polling perspective,

from a perception perspective. I think a lot of people were happy that he seemed to be doing the

things that he was going to do. And then we had some hiccups, right? So definitely,

Doge was not able to accomplish as much as it probably should have. But a lot of that's on Congress, not the president. But then the Epstein files, we just got to be honest. The Epstein files were not handled well. They're not handled well. They're continually not being handled well. However, there's other things that have gone incredibly well. Well, we didn't get everything we wanted

out of Doge. We certainly stopped, you know, billions of dollars that were being used, not just from

fraud waste and abuse. No, those billions of dollars were being very effectively used by Democrats

to push their ideology using our tax dollars through bureaucracies, through 501c3s, for the NGOs, all that stuff. And so I think it's important to recognize that that has been a big win. He's also significantly reduced the size of the federal government. Again, there's a lot of us that wanted to be even more, but this takes time and you need Congress to actually help with some of this stuff. That's the way our system works. So I think we need to give credit where credit is due with respect to the reduction of the overall size of the federal government. We've also seen a great deal of success, I believe, on the foreign affairs side. We're not getting involved in a whole lot of wars. That doesn't mean there hasn't been the strategic use of military power, whether it was against Iran, whether it was against Maduro, but it's also

been leveraged to end a lot of conflicts around the globe. That's been a positive development.
