So my husband and I are about to have our first baby. We're having a baby girl.

And since finding out that the gender was a girl, I'm having some thoughts that I want to get straightened out in my head before she comes.

I've been worrying that my husband will connect or bond with this baby girl more than him and I do.

And I don't want that jealousy to live in my heart.

So I was wondering if you could help me work through that.

Um, it's, okay, the jealousy is misplaced because it's like, is he gonna love the car more than the truck. They're different. He's going to love your daughter, which is a

product of the two of you, as a father. He's going to love you as a husband and lover.

You can't compare them.

Mm-hmm. There is no more or less. It's different.

I wish I still had a truck, but I'll go back to that.

I love my car because it's pretty and I can put the top down.

And I miss my truck because it sort of feels macho to drive in it.

So I have different feelings because it's a different relationship.

Your husband hopefully will love your daughter more than life itself because he is the primary protector, not you.

Daddy, the man is the primary protector.

So we hope he's gonna, he'd be willing to put his life down for his daughter, of course.

But he'd be willing to do the same thing for you,

but he's not gonna have sex with his daughter. He's going to have sex with you. Love you. Be intimate with you.
