I was talking with my wife, and we kind of came upon a conversation,

and I wanted some clarification about when Jesus was mentioning that one, how one great, one sin is not greater than another.

And I think this is one of the sort of mantras that floats around in the Christian church,

or one of those sayings that float around and people just think, well, that's somewhere in the Bible, right?

You know, all sin is equal.

Not one sin is greater than another.

And there's a sense in which that's true, but then there's a

sense also in which that's just not true at all. The sense in which it's true is, you know, the fact that

all sin deserves God's wrath and curse. And so all sin leads to death, but not all sins are equal.
