Hi, I'm Winter Breanne.

You may have heard me on cricket conversations before,

being interviewed by Jelisa Arse about how I helped organize the national school walk-outs

where we saw 2.7 million students walk out of schools and solidarity with gun violence victims

across the nation. I am also a member of Women's March Youth and help organize my people

my age around voting. I just joined the Cookett Media family and I am now hosting my first ever

cricket conversation. I talked to Cecille Richards, the former president of Planned Parenthood.

I wanted to talk to her because it's imperative that young people are having intergenerational

conversations surrounded moving building to make sure that we are able to build the future we

want to see for ourselves. We talked about the work that they are doing, the Brett Kavanaugh

nomination and her own upbringing and a political and activist family and how that influenced her.

So it's my first ever cricket conversation. My name is Winter Breanne for those who don't know me

and I am here very very excited with Mrs. Richards to do a cricket conversation. And so let me call

you Cecille or Miss Richards. No, please call me Cecille. Everyone else does. Yeah, but it's nice to

meet you Winter. Thank you. Welcome to New York. I'm very excited to meet you. So Miss Cecille is the

former president of Planned Parenthood till this year and she also was served as deputy chief of staff

for a leader Pelosi. That's right. That's amazing. And then also she just launched a book called Make

Trouble. Right. Exactly. Very exciting. And so to dive right in, I think one question that you've

probably gotten a lot recently is why now? Why after 12 years are we stepping down from Planned Parenthood?

And I did watch an interview where you mentioned that you're comfortable with your stepping down
