Where do the idea come from to make it for these young readers, and how did you change it, adjust it for a younger audience?

Well, yes, thank you. Thank you for having me back to talk about this. It is exciting.

It's really in response to popular demand.

I mean, we had, Land of Hope is really designed for, I thought of it as being written.

My third target, you know, you have an ideal reader in your mind often when you write things.

And I was thinking of someone taking advanced placement U.S. history exam in their

senior year of high school, or maybe a, maybe a freshman sophomore in college, advanced high school

students and more junior college students.

Well, for whatever reason, it's enjoyed a lot of success with older people,

who many of whom come to it, partly because I have, I think, a more balanced view of American history than most anything else out there coming out of the historical profession.
