I do think that we have had some particularly untrustworthy politicians. Donald Trump comes to mind.

His relationship with the truth is tenuous at best. One of the key moments in recent history was

when we all saw the poor queen sitting on her own at the funeral, and then we find out later they

were having a party in number 10 the night before, and I think people were just like fed up. If you imposed a rule on Wikipedia that required us to hire thousands of

moderators, kind of breaks the role of trust. As long as people are interested in having some fun

writing an encyclopedia together, I think we'll be here.

almost 25 years, determinedly democratic, non-profit and userrun, but increasingly under attack now by right-wing

influences, Republican politicians in the US, and Elon Musk for being biased with an overly

progressive ideology.

And now AI models like ChatGPT are parking their tanks firmly on Wikipedia's lawn, claiming

to be the real font of all knowledge.

Wikipedia calls them conversational chatbots.
