And to tell the story of Wii Sports is also really to tell the story of the launch of the Wii,

which is one of the most memorable console launches of all time for me personally. I just remember how this thing came out of the gate, swept the

world, swept the world in a time when like everybody turned their back on Nintendo in a huge way.

It had, of course, the GameCube had some very strong games. Any smash melee player to this day will tell me I'm an idiot for saying that we turned our back on the GameCube.

But I think a lot of people largely did in the gaming world and wanted more power.

This was back when graphics were king.
