Perfect Blue is a Japanese animated psychological thriller

film released in 1997 about a woman named Mima Kirigui who decides to leave her career as part

of a Japanese idol group to pursue acting. As this happens, she becomes pursued by a stalker

while gruesome murders turn up all around her and she loses her grip on reality.
