Well, one thing I thought I would point out, we had a very nice email from a reader who was scoffing at me as an elitist for having brought up Dickens.

Yeah.

In particular, as an example of something you could do with your time that isn't watching, you know, breaking bad or whatever.

Whereas my point was precisely that Dickens was an example of serial mass entertainment

that's great and rewarding and you read it and you feel great and you're entertained and

fulfilled and TV can't do it, man.

The, um, now you're wrong.
