| 1:16.2 | It's very nearly Christmas Day, and for many of you watching, that probably means it's |
| 1:21.8 | very nearly to the day where you're going to sit around the dinner table with non-vegan family |

| 1:30.1 | pigs and other dead animals. And that can be really challenging for us as vegans. And I think |
| 1:36.8 | something else that can be really challenging is not just participating in a meal where that's |
| 1:41.9 | happening. It's also how it can feel when people speak to us |
| 1:47.6 | about veganism or how they treat us when it comes to the food that we're choosing to eat and the |
| 1:51.8 | way we're choosing to live. And I think one thing we can feel as vegans is that sometimes our |
| 1:57.9 | family act uncharacteristically. We know them very well. We love them. We generally |
| 2:04.5 | recognize them as being kind and compassionate and probably empathetic in most situations. |
| 2:09.8 | But then when it comes to our veganism, sometimes they can seem argumentative, dismissive, |
| 2:15.3 | maybe close-minded, that there's just something that's not sitting |
