| 0:44.9 | Thank you. How are you? Welcome to the most motivating show on the planet where 99% of what I say in today's show, and in fact, every single show I ever do for you is total BS. |
| 1:08.7 | 99% of it truly is. Just like life, 99% of everything is total BS. |
| 1:13.9 | But the 1% somewhere hidden in this podcast, it's like a little Easter egg. That 1% will change |
| 1:19.5 | everything. So if you're focused on the 99%, I'm just going to let you fill in what I think |
| 1:26.3 | about that. But if you're looking for that 1% thing, it's coming. It's coming. If you get that 1% of that little nugget that pops out today, that life changes. Yeah, I know it's smart stuff. That's why I do this. It is a daily boost. It's me, Scott, good to have you here today. Yes, a little disjucky arrogance there. I can't help it, man. you can take the guy out of radio, but the radio stays on the guy. He's just how I, at 18 years old, from the day I was 18, I was on the radio someplace, the morning shows, and I did a lot of talk shows. I was a funny guy you'd love to wake up to in the morning. I did that. And you didn't pay me enough. So I quit. I said, I |
| 2:00.9 | can get them 4 o'clock in the morning for people to laugh and not give me money. Not that I had to make |
| 2:03.8 | a lot of money because money is not everything, but money is something when you got to buy a house |
| 2:06.9 | and raise kids and everything. So I made a choice. I tried a few other things and eventually I landed here thinking I would be, let's go motivate the world and have some fun. And I got into it and I said, man, this, this is, let's just try to figure out how to get through life and make it better. Simple philosophy for Scott. Here is come real close. Okay. You might not get this, but come close. Here is my philosophy. The world is filled with all kinds of crazy challenges every single day. We'll figure it out. You'll figure it out if you've given enough time. If I can give you a shortcut to get over it today, that's better. A little framework. You can plug and fix it, right? But the goal is really, really simple. And maybe you'll agree with this or not, and that's totally okay. I just think that you should do more of what you'd like to do. Your day should generally be better. You should generally be focused on the things that fulfill you. And the |
| 2:51.5 | garbage is going to come. But you should generally be focused on the good stuff and get the good |
| 2:55.3 | stuff. And generally life should be pretty good. And that means generally getting rid of the |
| 2:59.8 | garbage, saying no to the stuff. And that's the hard part. So when life is getting in the way, |
| 3:05.8 | those moments that are happening, a lot of those can be |
| 3:08.8 | taken away with the right structure. So I just kind of believe do more of what you love and less |
| 3:13.2 | of what you hate. There you go. Doesn't get much fancier than that. Man, is that hard? |
| 3:19.6 | It is. I know. I know. It's ridiculous to try to figure that out. Well, come here, real close. Real close. It's like when my daughter had her second child. She was all freaked out. She had the first baby. And you know, when they have the first baby, they got to get it right. Yeah, back in the day, we didn't know how to get it right. We didn't care. We didn't have to make all our Tories beige either. It was weird. |
| 3:41.2 | We had colors. |
| 3:58.6 | It's awesome. But when she had her first child, then the second one came. And she was so freaked out of dad. I don't know what we're going to do. We can hardly manage life right now. I'm thinking to myself, well, I know what's going to happen. I can see this coming. I mean, but I had to be the sarcastic dad. |
