Hey everybody. You know, Pastor Rick Warren often says you were made by God and for God. And

until you understand that, well, life will never make sense. Thank you for joining us today on

Pastor Rick's Daily Hope. And in our series called God's Vision for the rest of your life, today Rick will continue in his

effort to help you discover the unique purpose and vision that the Lord has for your life.

And now, here's Pastor Rick with the message called Why You Need a Church Family.

So this morning, we're going to look at why you need a church family as a second session.

Now, the first session we talked last week about God has five purposes for your life. That's a big

idea. But let me give you an even bigger one. And it's this. You cannot fulfill those five purposes

on your own. It is impossible. Life is not a solo act. You were created for

community. You need a church family. The only way you can fulfill God's five purposes in your life

is you need other people in your life who are given you spiritual input. And so there are actually

five specific benefits. And if you'll write these

down, if you open it up, number one, the first benefit is the church helps me center my life

around God. It helps me center my life around God. God didn't put you on earth to live a

self-centered life. His purpose is for you to build your life with him

at the core. We talked about this last week. You were planned for God's pleasure. He made you to love you

and he wants you to love him back. So God says, I want you to be, I want to be the hub of your heart.

I want to be the focus of your attention. I want to be the center of your life. I want to be the axis of your existence.

The Bible says this.

Christ's love has the first and last word in everything we do.

And our firm decision is to work from this focused center.

Now, how can you tell when Christ is at the center of your life?
