Hey, GoGetters, and welcome to the brand new addition to the Go Getters podcast called The Friday Quicky.

0:07.4

I know the name is crazy, but I liked it. It's quick. It's something that we can take with us,

0:12.8

and it happens on a Friday. So why not call it the Friday Quickie? I'm going to be giving you

0:17.7

super quick and actionable strategies for you to use in your business.

0:22.6

And I really want to start moving you all towards awareness with certain business strategies.

0:28.1

And in order for us to learn even more, we have to know why we need it.

0:32.8

So today's episode is all about why you need to be building that email list. I think so many of you hear it and it's like on repeat and you just say, okay, all right, I'll do that later. And you keep putting it on the back burner and putting it on the back burner. But I want to give you some stats today that are from 2019 that are going to tell you why you need to be building that email list. In 2017, 3.7 billion users

0:57.6

were opening their emails every single day. That prediction is now at 4.3 billion users for the year of

1:06.0

2022. That is half of the world's population. Half of the world's population is going to be opening

1:12.8

emails. That is something that you can't get on any social media platform. Forget Facebook,

1:18.1

forget Instagram, forget Pinterest for a second. Everyone has an email. Everyone. Even my children

1:23.4

have emails because they have emails from their school. Now, again, I'm not going to be targeting my

1:28.4

children, but I want you all to start getting in that business mindset. It's not just about social

1:33.0

media. Email marketing is the reason my business has exploded, hands down. Now, there are billions of

1:40.2

emails sent every single day. So what does that tell you? That tells you that not everyone is

1:45.2

opening every single email. So yours need to be unique. If you are flooding people's inboxes

1:50.5

with the same old, same old, chances are your open rates are going to be very, very low. And let's chat

1:57.0

about open rates for just a second. Open rates are so important for you to know

2:01.0

if what you are sending is actually working. If you have anywhere on a normal sequence, a 25 to

2:07.1

30% range of opens, that's pretty decent. If you can get above that, that's phenomenal.

2:12.6

I knew that my opt-in was going to be successful when my open rates were at the 70% mark.

2:18.8

I was blown away. I thought, man, I wonder if people want to know about this. And then,
