Summary

Happy December!!!! As the year come to an end, a lot of us may be realizing we’re not exactly where we thought we’d be. Maybe you didn’t hit your resolutions. Maybe you feel like you should be “further along.” Maybe you’re disappointed in your own lack of progress and don’t know why things aren’t changing… even though you want them to. In today’s episode, I talk about the truth behind why you know better but still don’t do better. Why you keep repeating the same patterns, ending up in the same situations, attracting the same friendships or relationships, or feeling stuck in the same habits.

Today's ep covers....
• Knowing the problem but not actually solving it
• Repeating patterns you haven’t named yet
• Ignoring the lessons life is trying to teach you
• The difference between “protecting your peace” and avoiding accountability

Journal prompts -
  1. How does this make me feel….
  2. Why did this happen? Did I play a part in this happening?
  3. Does this align with who I want to be?
  4. Am I able to change the outcome or do I need to remove myself from the situation?
“What’s one pattern I’ve been repeating that I haven’t named yet? What is it and is it negatively impacting me or my goals?”

“Are my actions aligned with my goals? What are 3 things I can do right now to change my behavior and make a change?”

I hate to say this out loud and give any attention to it, but I am sick again.

I'm sick again.

If you keep up with trying to care, you're probably like, what's going on with this girl?

0:16.2

How is she always sick?

0:17.2

Because I feel like every couple episodes, I'm like, hey guys, I'm sick again.

0:20.4

I was sick on Halloween. So how is it even possible? I don't know. I'm a healthy person. I'm a clean person. I wash my hands. I really think it's because I am a hermit and I don't go out. So when I do go out and I do anything in the world, I pick up any and every sickness there is. I might be sick,

0:39.1

but I'm still good to sit down and talk with my girls. So happy December. I'm so excited that

0:46.2

it's finally December. December is one of my favorite months. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

0:50.5

I hope you're ready and festive for the month of December. My last few episodes have been

0:55.2

holiday related and my next few episodes after this are going to be kind of holiday related.

So I wanted to give you a self-improvement type of episode before we get back into that. I love

1:06.2

being festive, but this was on my mind and I wanted to talk about it. With the year coming to a close,

1:12.4

a lot of us are reflecting on the past year and what we've completed on our New Year's resolutions

1:18.1

and our goals. And there's some people that are going to look back at the past year and realize

1:23.5

they aren't who they thought they'd be right now and they might be disappointed with the lack of

1:29.0

progress that they've made this year, which is a real thing and I've been there. It's very normal.

1:33.7

That's why a lot of people don't make New Year's resolutions because they don't want to let

1:36.8

themselves down. But a big part of changing is being honest with yourself and not only wanting

1:42.4

to do the work, but actually doing the work

1:44.7

and making positive changes. So many people want to grow and be better, but it feels like no matter

1:50.9

how hard they try, they just can't. They end up in the same situations and their life doesn't
