| 0:14.8 | And I'm Whelan Wong and we are here celebrating jobs Friday like we do every month. |
| 0:20.0 | That's right. Today we learned that 275,000 jobs were added to the US economy in February |
| 0:27.6 | and the unemployment rate rose a little to 3.9%. So a small tick up in the unemployment rate, |
| 0:34.7 | but based on history, it's still pretty low. |
| 0:38.0 | And within all those jobs, nurses, mechanics, administrators, |
| 0:42.4 | one occupation is on quite a tear and that's wind turbine |
| 0:46.5 | service technicians. They're known as wind techs, people who look after those |
| 0:51.0 | gigantic structures with propellers tumbling in the wind. |
| 0:54.6 | And the number of wind techs in the US is expected to grow by 45% over 10 years. |
| 1:00.3 | And given all this projected growth, I wanted to know what the job entails. |
| 1:04.8 | So I went to a wind farm up in Maine, the biggest wind farm in the state. |
