Summary

This episode explores chrono-nutrition, the science of aligning meal timing with your body's natural rhythms (circadian clock). Studies show that eating breakfast is linked to significantly greater weight loss and improved metabolic health compared to eating dinner. The episode emphasizes the importance of understanding your chronotype (Lion, Bear, Wolf, or Dolphin) to optimize meal timing for better energy, digestion, sleep, and overall well-being. Irregular eating patterns disrupt internal clocks, leading to issues like insulin resistance, poor sleep, and weight gain. #weightloss #diet #wellness ==== Thank You To Our Sponsors! 0:04.8

there was a study in the Obesity Journal 2013 and researchers compared two groups of women

0:10.0

eating the same amount of calories per day. Group one ate the majority of their calories at

0:14.8

breakfast and group two ate the majority of calories at dinner. What was the result? The breakfast

group lost 2.5 times

more weight. They had better insulin sensitivity, reduced triglycerides by 33%. And the dinner group,

0:29.3

they actually had a rise in blood sugar and cortisol markers. So what does that tell us? It's not

0:34.1

just about how many calories you eat. It's about how your body is metabolically primed. Your

0:39.9

insulin is most sensitive in the morning. Your cortisol naturally rises. It helps you burn

0:45.3

fuel earlier. Eating late overrides a system. We want to avoid that.

If you thrive on early morning, big breakfasts and you shut down your food by early evening,

you might be a lion. Or if you don't want to eat until noon and forcing early meals really

chronotype representations, your body's natural rhythms that tell you when to eat, sleep,
