about the issue of why we want to see The Epstein files. I remember sometime last winter, it was

before a Christmas. I was looking through some images of Christmas ornaments on social media,

and one of them was a figure of Jeffrey

Epstein, smiling attached to a tree by a noose around his neck. And the caption read,

this ornament didn't hang itself. I was stunned and grossed out by that, and I realized that this was a particular

kind of signaling from the kind of person who wanted to put that on his or her tree. But I didn't

think that it would really persist much longer than that. Just seemed to be a conversation of the moment.

But now the Epstein case is the most inflammatory conversation topic in the country.

And that's because you have had over the past several weeks, Attorney General Pam Bondi

saying at first that she has
