So my wife and I were watching America's Got Talent a couple nights ago.

And it was fascinating because we were watching the top 10 worst auditions of all time.

And some of these people, they just don't know that they sound bad.

I mean, they all don't know that they sound about.

That's why they're there.

But some of them are convinced them that they sound good. I mean, they all don't know that they sound about. That's why they're there. But some of them are convinced them that they sound good.

What would get them there?

At some point, their family or their friends or the people closest to them told them,

hey, you sound good, you should be a singer.

And I thought, surely that cannot be happening until one of the contestants,

her entire family was

backstage, cheering her on, and she sounded absolutely horrible. The audience is laughing. The judges

are cringing, and they had to tell her, you sound bad. You should not sing. The audience knows

the person sounds bad, but they don't know why. The judges know

this person sounds bad and they know why. They know the science. Your pitch is off, your

tone is off. And as I thought about this, I thought about like the songs that we sing,

not auditory, physical songs, but like the spiritual

songs of our life.
