Colin Champ, a radiation oncologist at Duke University. They cover everything from the power of diet and

exercise to restoring an old Lexus LX 450. We hope you enjoy. Sitting here with Dr. Colin Champ, and for many of you all, you heard

the intro, and I remember the first time that I heard you speak was at the I-N-C with Dr. Ford,

the human and machine cognition. They did their, what was their monthly series call? I forget

what it was called.

Yeah, I'm forgetting it too since it's, it's been so long since it's happened.

But it was great.

We flew in.

I got to meet you.

I got to hear you talk.

And one of the things that really resonated with me was, uh, this was, I think before your

book came out.

I think it was your first book, if I'm not mistaken, and was just your whole approach on medicine, you know,

and taking more of a, I would call it a common sense approach. But it's just really kind of looking at,

I think you called it misled medicine for a big part of it.

But if you don't mind, kind of share with everyone a little bit

about what inspired you to go into medicine

and then after you got into medicine, like how you

kind of formed some of the passions that you talked about in your book? Sure. Yeah. So I grew up in

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Really, my grandfather had a huge influence on me. He lived in 96,

had his own garden, exercise killed. He was in his 90s,
