Each person that has taken that responsibility of leadership, first with themselves and then others,

I believe that they all have something in common, right?

And I would call it maybe more of a mandate, right?

The key.

And I think that there's really three of them. And I think that if you look at

anything that's in motion that is leading, the first thing that every leader has to do that we all

have to start with ourselves is you have to be honest with yourself. You have to be true, right?

You have to know the truth. The truth is undefeated. And that starts with you. And what that simply means is

just be honest with yourself. It's okay. You are where you are for a reason, right? But don't placate

yourself. Don't play yourself. Look in the mirror and just be honest with yourself because you have to have a

starting point. We all are at a

starting point right now today for the rest of our lives and the only way we can get to where we want

to go is we have to know where we're starting for some of us we want to camouflage that right we want to

we want to make believe that we're not in the place that we are or we want to make it worse than it is.

However, every person, whether it's conscious or an unconscious behavior that is led,

they've made an impact, they've taken responsibility for themselves, they've been willing to

be honest with themselves and say, this is exactly where I am right but number two and this by the way

I heard a mentor of mine shared this information with me and ever since then I've challenged it

I've tested it and it's the truth it is the guardrails every leader has the ability at any given

time just to be honest of where they're at right

and to reinforce that so number one give yourself permission to be truthful for you with yourself
