0:00.0	There's been a lot of attention given in recent years to how bad partisan politics is, party politics are.
0:16.1	And we need to say as Christians that we are not to owe allegiance to any one political party in one
0:22.6	country in an iron way. We go where the truth goes, so let that be said. In America, however,
0:28.5	we also need to say this. In 2024, the party that most champions what most Christians from
0:35.0	Scripture believe on sexual ethics and social matters is the Republican Party.
0:40.3	And sometimes you get a visceral reminder of that like we did this very week, this past week, that is, at the time of the viewing of this podcast.
0:49.3	Just a couple days ago, the House of Representatives in America, according to a report from the Washington Stand, written by Ben Johnson, voted to repeal the Biden administration's efforts to insert sexual orientation and gender identity into civil rights legislation. I'm reading from this Washington Stand report, an excellent article, as I say, written by Ben Johnson.
1:12.0	They adopted House Joint Resolution 165 by a 210-205 vote along party lines.
1:19.9	And this is because some 50-something years ago, there was a bill called Title IX that was signed into law by President Richard Nixon.
1:27.6	It was 1972.
1:28.9	That prohibited discrimination against women, and it created basically the whole category of women's sports, according to Johnson.
1:36.8	Not long ago, the Biden-led Department of Education changed up how we understand Title IX when an April 29 federal regulation
1:48.0	ruled that any school or university that gets taxpayer funds has to allow men who identify
1:55.4	as women to be in women's sports and enter women's spaces or else pay the penalty of losing federal funding.
