Okay, friends, I always like to pray before we dig into our Bible study because

the spirit of God who wrote the scriptures is the one we need to teach us. So Lord

we are asking you through your Holy Spirit to give us insight and wisdom into what you're saying here.

Help us understand why we are accountable to you Father and why that matters in our lives.

So we ask it in Jesus name, Amen.

Okay, the Apostle Paul in chapters one, two, and three of Romans so far, up to

verse 19, has been making the case for where sin comes from, why human beings are

considered to be sinful and truly are sinful. In here in chapter 3,

verse 19 he's going to go to the criteria by which we are judged to be

sinful.

He says, now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
