Hi, friends. Welcome to walking is fitness, the podcast. I'm Dave. This week, we're going to talk about

0:11.0

why walking is a great investment in your retirement. Now, let me give you a few facts. I'm not

0:19.8

retired yet. I probably have about four years or so. And as I get

0:27.6

closer to retirement, I'm finding one, I'm finding the topic fascinating. But obviously, there is an

0:34.5

awful lot to retirement that you need to prepare for. So I've been spending

0:38.5

an awful lot of time reading about retirement. I've been listening to podcasts about retirement,

0:45.0

1:24.7

You've got to, you essentially have to be financially independent, that you have an

1:30.5

income, that you have enough money so that you don't need to work. And whether that's coming from

1:35.4

Social Security, investments, passive income, side hustles, whatever, you've got to have the financial situation right or you can't retire.

1:47.6

So that's one leg of this three-legged stool and probably the most important,

1:53.0

which is why most of us tend to focus on the money side of things more than these other two legs.

2:00.6

But these other two legs of this three-legged stool to have a successful retirement is very

2:06.2

important.

2:06.7

So number two is purpose.

2:10.0

So you stop working and then what?
