That's the argument of a five-year-old.

Anytime he gets upset, anytime he gets threatened, anytime he gets scared, he begins yelling,

he begins often cursing.

Hello and welcome to another episode of TrumpCath, the show about the moral crisis known as Donald

Trump.

I'm going to explore that question with Glenn Greenwald in a few minutes.

But first, to ask a Trumpian question, what about me?

TrumpCath isn't a normal journalistic endeavor.

It's a show based on my judgment that Donald Trump is a dangerous man and a threat to American

democracy of a kind we haven't seen before.

But is this even this show contributing to the problem by giving Trump even more attention?

I've been thinking about that, and I honestly don't think so.

The problem with the media's coverage of Trump, particularly the early coverage, is that

it was both excessive and insufficiently critical.

It gave Trump a giant platform to tell lies and inject a new kind of poison into American

politics.

And at least until very recently, it did a lousy job calling him to account for those

lies and for that poison.

It may be impossible to cover Trump without playing into his hands in some way.
