Summary

Despite several alternative media companies pouring money into more conservative movies and television shows the right still struggles to compete in the artistic sphere. Some major movies have an implicit level of right-sing messaging but they often try to burry it or receive major criticism despite being high-caliber releases. Dave Greene joins me to discuss what conservative activists and pundits are missing about the nature of making art.  Follow on: Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-auron-macintyre-show/id1657770114 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/3S6z4LBs8Fi7COupy7YYuM?si=4d9662cb34d148af Substack: https://auronmacintyre.substack.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/AuronMacintyre Gab: https://gab.com/AuronMacIntyre YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/c/AuronMacIntyre Rumble: https://rumble.com/c/c-390155 Odysee: https://odysee.com/@AuronMacIntyre:f Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/auronmacintyre/ Learn more about your ad choices. It's what all the people who are creative like

myself love to say other people need to be doing. However, I do think this is important. Just to give you

some context, my colleague, Chris Rufo, was talking about the Super Bowl. This episode will be airing

in about a week. I'm traveling. By the way, that means we're not live, so I can't take super chat.

But he was saying at the time with the Super Bowl that there was an inferior culture product produced by TPUSA when it came to the alternative halftime show.

And this sparked a larger debate on whether or not billionaires, right-wing billionaires,

will spend money on art.

0:59.1

Now, there's a lot of different opinions.

1:00.7

His co-host, Lomaz, had something to say about this.

1:04.0

But also my good friend, Dave Green, I thought, had a lot of great insights.

1:08.3

And I certainly want to give him an opportunity to expand on those on the show.

1:13.4

So joining me today is the distributors. Dave Green, thank you so much for joining me, man.

1:17.6

Yeah. Thanks for having me on. I'm always, you know, happy to participate in this tradition

of right wing. Why isn't there a right wing art? This time it's Super Bowl edition. I think it's,

1:29.2

it's kind of, I mean, it's a fascinating topic because it, and there's so many different

1:34.5

angles that you can take it from. There's one thing that's very obvious is, you know,

1:41.3

first of all, we are kind of in a low point of art and cultural production anyway.

1:46.0

So that's kind of the backdrop of the conversation is one thing that is obviously happening,

1:51.0

is that there's been a genuine decline in content quality from basically the mainstream.

1:58.0

I would say left, but it's more or less the same thing.
