Well, my fellow Jets fans, it's a difficult time to root for this team.

There are not many easy times to root for this team.

We are looking at another failed season, and the Jets have saved their worst football for the end of the season.

Four straight losses by 23 plus points.

That's the first time this has happened in the NFL in over 50 years.

And it has led to plenty of questions about the first year head coach Aaron Glenn, whether he's

up for the job, whether he's lost the team. It's difficult to feel good about the coach.

And now there is rightly speculation about his job status. We're going to dive into that speculation

on today's show. We're going to discuss why the Jets can never seem to get their head coaching hires right. We'll talk about what the worst possible path forward is for this team. But we'll begin by talking about the man who will make the decision and the man who makes us all worried that the Jets will follow that worst possible path forward. And that's Woody Johnson. I think it's fair to say

that Woody Johnson, the owner, is a lightning rod of criticism within this fan base. And he's a guy we

talk a lot about on this show because he is ultimately the man in charge. And whether he wants to be or not,

he's the person who gets the criticism when the team fails. The Jets have now

missed the playoffs 15 straight years. They have now put together 10 straight losing seasons.

And there's only been one constant in these eras of failure. The players have changed. The

scouts have changed. The front office has changed. The general managers have changed. The coaches have changed. The only thing that's been constant has been Woody Johnson and his family's ownership because Woody did step away for about three and a half years when he was the ambassador to the United Kingdom. But he put his brother in charge. And ultimately, you know, I think that in the NFL, things start at the top.

If you are losing consistently for over a decade, for now a decade and a half, you have to ask

questions about the owner.
