what else could go wrong? A lot, everything, nothing, I don't know.

Well, let's start with this.

The Department of Homeland Security, the agency that employs a quarter million people,

is set to shut down at midnight.

The House is out.

The Senate's out.

There's not going to be any last-minute deal to turn this thing around.

A bunch of people are in Munich,

members of the Senate, even some members of the House. It is just a reflection of how far off a DHS deal remains. The Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, has canceled official travel

for members of the House so people have to pay out of their own pockets some people
