Always the pleasure.

Okay, so last time we were talking about the church,

as it is on Earth, as it is in heaven.

And how neglected that was prior to Vatican II and how since Vatican II

even though it's expressly taught in Loom and Jensium the dogmatic constitution on

the church it has been almost forgotten, certainly overlooked by the vast majority of theologians.

I mean there are exceptions like Cardinal Schoenborn in his book from death to life.

We reprinted that essay on the Heavenly

Earthly Church in our journal, Letter and Spirit. Louis Bouier in his works,

especially on the Church, also discusses as anybody with an awareness of the patristic

tradition or the Eastern tradition is going to be keenly attuned to what I

tended to emphasize in my book The Lamb's Supper and what we focused on last time

that there aren't two churches, one up there and one down here, there is one church.

And this is the church triumphant in glory the church militant in a state of grace on earth and then the church suffering in purgatory.
