Thank you. Today on Hard Knocks, I interview Timothy Egan, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, national book award-winning author, and longtime former New York Times columnist.

We discuss really a lot about journalism and about his

history of covering my case and as well as discussing issues like predatory journalism and

the what he calls the biggest crisis of our time, misinformation and our inability to agree on what is true in the world and how to deal with that, how to grapple with that both individually and as a society.

And then, of course, having covered a lot of stories of injustice in the world, how that writing has affected the way that Tim

has come to process his own experiences of pain and struggle and injustice in his own life
