Ted McMillan, a wide receiver out of Arizona, could be the choice for the Jets when they pick seventh overall in the NFL draft.

He may not be the dominant contested catch receiver his 6-5 frame would suggest, but he might be just what the Jets need as a number two receiver behind Garrett Wilson.

Well, the NFL draft is fast approaching, so it's time to break down some of the prospects that Jets could select seventh overall in depth. And today we're going to focus on Tet McMillan, a wide receiver out of Arizona, the consensus top wide receiver prospect in this year's NFL draft. We're going to talk about where he could fit in for the Jets, what role he could have on this team if the team, if the Jets select him seventh overall. We'll talk about some of his weaknesses, some of the things he needs to work on,

1:30.2

but we'll start off by talking about what he brings to the table.

1:33.1

And when I break down NFL draft prospects, I try and avoid saying that, you know,

1:38.7

either a guy is good or he's bad.

1:41.2

And sometimes I'm not great at following this advice.

1:43.9

But I think it's really important

1:45.5

to keep an open mind with NFL draft prospects because there are lots of prospects who have certain

1:51.1

skills and they lack other skills and they have to work on the things that they lack. And if they go to the

1:56.8

right team, a team that understands how to use their skills correctly, they could thrive. If they go to the wrong team, a team that doesn't understand how to use their

2:03.1

skills, they could struggle. So the first thing I always try and do when I focus on a prospect

2:09.3

is figure out what can he do, what does he struggle with that he needs to work on, and where

2:14.3

does he fit on a team? Now, Ted McMillan is a big receiver he's 6-5 he's 219 pounds a

2:21.3

guy who's a really big receiver but i think his skill sets a little bit different than the stereotype

2:27.4

you would have for a receiver of his size so you know what sticks out about him well the first is we'll start with, I think he's a good hands catcher. That's important. It's important to catch the ball with your hands. I think he's got pretty good hands. It's important to not let the ball hit you in the chest when you catch it for a couple of reasons. reasons. First of all, that tends to lead to drops. Second of all, you want to be aggressive. You
