And I'm joined by Lockdown Lakers, host Andy Kaminetski, to break down the latest signing

for LA. Good to be with you. Thanks for joining us.

Yeah, absolutely, Kylin. Thanks for having me.

All right. So let's break down the numbers as far as the most recent free agent signing

for the Lakers. Ford Torian Prince, previously with the Minnesota Timberwolves, has agreed

to a 1 year, $4.5 million deal with the Lakers that's been reported by ESPN.

What are your initial reactions to him signing with the Lakers?

Well, that it's also being reported that it's the Biennial exception, 1 year, 4.5, which

means that they're keeping open the big level exception of $12.4 million, I believe.

So Laker fans are on pins and needles figuring out Kylin, who that's going to go for.

But Torian Prince for that Biennial, I think, is a nice signing.

It's good value signing. He addresses the outside shooting that the Lakers desperately were missing

last season. He was 38% overall from three. He's been 38% or higher the last three seasons

of his career. He was 42% or higher from both corners last season, 41% on catch and shoot

threes. And that is an opportunity. You will get a lot of playing with LeBron, even

Austin Reeves is good at finding those guys, the Angelo Russell if he's back. He also

has some familiarity playing with the Angelo Russell of D low returns, even a solid 35%
